Sometimes, it’s hard to see how God is working. Not only as we walk through our own messes, but also living in the future state of our world. It’s true, there’s a plethora of tragedy happening all around us right now. So how do we sit in that and continue to believe or even trust that God is good?
We lean not on our own understandings, but in everything trust the Lord. We know he is near to the brokenhearted, crushed in spirit, the lowly, and the vulnerable.
We choose to believe, not in what we see around us, but in the powers and authority that rules in the heavenly realm. We choose to walk in faith not by sight.
We stick up for these biblical truths, while serving those around us.
We listen, grieve and pray for our neighbors.
We take the world and lay it at the feet of Jesus, knowing he his King and fully capable of all redemption.
We abide in Christ, walking with him daily, pouring our worries out to him and giving our love to those around us.
This is how we move forward, learn and build faith. Hard seasons will come, in our own lives and especially in the world we live in. Prayer is the most powerful thing we can do, the most loving thing we can do and the most healing thing we can do. Holy Spirit, guide us in love and prayer, for all the tragedy that is happening in the world and in the nation. Help us choose to trust you and live that out even when we don’t understand why things are the way they are. Amen .
